Listen to Colin Webster’s «vs Amp»

How far can one get one’s sound with a baritone saxophone plugged into amplifiers? Quite far, naturally. What if one restricts the amplification exclusively to Fender Twin Reverb and Bassman amplifiers? Part of the answer to that comes with «vs Amp», the upcoming album by London based saxophonist Colin Webster. The renowned experimentalist recorded the entirety of the album livelast year at the Hackney Road Studios in London; the recording and mixing themselves were handled by Tim Cedar, while mastering was taken care of by Marlon Wolterink. Below, you can listen to the record in its entirety. The artwork on display was created by Colin Webster himself, while the layout was done by Rutger Zuydervelt.

«vs Amp» is set for release on February 15 through Raw Tonk on digital and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available at this location.
