Quebecois quintet Spectral Wound has announced the release of its third full-length, «A Diabolic Thirst». Per its press release, it comprises “six triumphant ferocious hymns where blood freezing melodies and harsh yet massive overtones bring a decadent and euphoric flow to this glorious masterwork.” Proving that the use of triumphant and euphoric is not undue, the band has released two of the six songs of the new album, namely, «Frigid and Spellbound» and «Fair Lucifer, Sad Relic», both of which can be heard below.

The record was recorded and mixed by Spectral Wound’s guitarist Patrick McDowall during 2020. Mastering duties were handled by Arthur Rizk.

«A Diabolic Thirst» is set for release on April 16 through Profound Lore on cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders can be found at this location. A cassette version is set to be announced soon by Les Fleurs du Mal Productions.
