On January 2017, a beast began to stir in the bowels of Facebook. With a picture and one sentence, “Hello shitheads”, Iron Monkey was back. This was followed by the announcement that the new formation consisted on founding members Jim Rushby and Steve Watson together with Chaos U.K. drummer Brigga, with Rushby taking over vocal duties on top of guitars and Watson taking care of the bass. Moreover, it was soon public that they had signed with Relapse and were set to release a new album. The album is called «9-13» (the initials of the band) and there is now a video, of the filthy title track, directed by Jack Atherton, which you can see below.
This follows the release of «OmegaMangler» back in August, which you can stream below.
«9-13» was recorded in Nottingham with producer Johnny Carter and is set for release on October 20 via Relapse.
