Cascadian black metal pioneers Fauna have signed with Lupus Lounge / Prophecy Productions. The announcement further states that the band is working on its fourth album, entitled «Ochre and Ash», and will embark on an European tour next month alongside fellow countrymen L’Acéphale. The tour begins at Roadburn, with both bands set to perform on Friday, April 12 (the running order for that day can be found here), and continues with dates in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Czech Republic.
“Fauna looks to the sky as we initiate a new collaboration with Prophecy Productions, calling forth new initiatory rites and preparing to revisit past chapters. There is not another label with Prophecy’s reach and stature that so thoroughly respects our objectives and has such a diverse and respectable roster of fellow seekers. We entrust our legacy to them as we move forward into a new era, utterly sacred in its unpredictability.”
Furthermore, Prophecy has announced that come April 12, it will re-release of Fauna’s last two albums, 2007’s «The Hunt» and 2012’s «Avifauna», on both cd and vinyl format. Pre-orders are available here. Note that this will be the first time that «The Hunt» is issued in LP format and that they will only be available in other retailers from May 17 onwards. Below, you can listen to the aforementioned pair.
