It’s about time we put this year to rest and that is precisely the aim of Japanese legends Boris and Merzbow in their upcoming seventh collaborative album entitled «2R0I2P0», a title signifying “Twenty Twenty R.I.P.” and stemming from the fact that, as Boris collectively explain, “this year was a period of trial for everyone in the world,” thus making the album “a monument to the requiem of the previous era. From here, a new world begins again.” Or so one might hope. Regardless of that optimism or lack thereof, you can listen to «Away From You» below, the first track of the upcoming «2R0I2P0», by way of the video directed by Kohei Igarashi, edited by Gen Takahashi, and featuring Juntaro Atochi as director of photography. Below the video, find the album’s artwork
«2R0I2P0», whose artwork can be found below, is set for release on December 11 through Relapse Records on cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available at this location.
