It’s been three years since the Undergang crew has graced us with an LP filled with their own deathly blend of filth and groove. The wait will soon be over with the band set to release «Aldrig I Livet» this coming December, a record which according to its press release sees “Undergang at their very best, subtly striving for new twists on their characteristic sound whilst making that sound more engaging than ever before.” More concretely, the statement goes on to say, it is “the band’s most ominous record to date, rooting among the ruins of the most doom death committed to tape and warping that wreckage with slithering solos that seem to creep like tendrils across an inter-dimensional portal.”
A first sample of this upcoming loveliness can be heard below by way of «Menneskeæder», the album’s third track.
«Aldrig I Livet» is set for release on December 4 through Dark Descent and Me Saco Un Ojo on cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available here (cd, digital, and vinyl) and here (cassette, cd, and digital). The artwork seen above was created by the band’s guitarist/vocalist David Mikkelsen.
