As we previously reported, The Body will soon released their eight album, «I’ve Seen All I Need To See». In the upcoming album, the band focuses on their core sound of drums, (extremely) distorted guitar, and high-pitched howls, further reducing the prevalence of guests from their previous outings. According to recording engineer Seth Manchester, “it’s a meditation on distortion. We tried pushing the limits of each piece of gear in the studio to hear what its breaking point sounded like and then recorded it – even feeding the console back on itself during one particular live take.” Below, listen to the album’s second track, «Tied Up And Locked In».
«I’ve Seen All I Need To See» is set for release on January 29 through Thrill Jockey on cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available here and here. The album was recorded by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets and mastered by Matt Colton of Metropolis Mastering.
