Unto Others, formerly known as Idle Hands, have announced the upcoming release of their second album, «Strength», after the pretty much universal acclaim garnered by their approach to heavy metal in «Mana». As the band’s vocalist and guitarist Gabriel Franco explains, “I wish I could say it came to me like a bolt of lightning, but the record was a process. A challenging process, to write, record, and mix. It was 10 months from beginning to end, and the most time I’ve ever spent on an album. You can decide if that’s good or bad. Arthur [Riszk] did a great job giving the record an organic heavy sound and it was a privilege to work with him. What we have at the end is something I am extremely proud of, for better or worse, and a constant reminder to myself that we don’t to things because they are easy, we do them because they are hard.”

Two singles of the album, whose artwork you can see above, can by now be heard. First, there’s the previously revealed «When Will Gods Work Be Done», whose video was released on June 16 and was directed by Brock Grossl.
Today, with the album’s announcement, came another single, «Downtown», also directed by Brock Grossl.
«Strength» is set for release on September 24 through Roadrunner on cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats, whose pre-orders can be found here.
