Still to release «{}»

Hull based quartet Still have been unleashing bleak, black infused, post hardcore since the release of the «Karin» EP back in 2017. Their path continued two years later with the sharper, heavier sounding, «Reprieve» EP. Now, their growth is set to continue, but this time we’ll get to withstand it on an LP format. Judging by the first single, «Half Hands Won’t Hold», streamable below, they handle it pretty well and if we’ve focused on the post hardcore side of things so far, the press release appropriately adds that “occasional flashes of majestic glacial black metal cascade across the scape scorching the rugged, thundering sludge and thrashing post hardcore. With every revolution of these jarring components the anguish expands, each passing dissonant harmony or devastating rhythm is enveloped in the crush of the next.”

«{}» is set for release on September 24 via Trepanation Recordings on cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders can be found here. Further note that a second single, «A Pendulous Spirit (Part One) – The Great Expanse», can be heard at this location via Astral Noize.

Below, revisit Still‘s first two EP releases.

«Reprieve» was released by Trepanation Recordings on November 2, 2019, and can be found on digital format here.

«Karin» was released by Spat On Supply on July 2, 2017, and can be found on digital format here.
