Fans of psychedelic motorik sounds should enjoy this one: next month, Nova Express (featuring Henrik Kihlberg of fastcore powerhouse Bruce Banner) will release «Twenty One», the remixed and remastered version of their opus «One», originally released in 2001.Legend has it that Torbjörn Abelli (of Träd, Gräs Och Stenar) said “this album will mature and be perfect twenty years from now,” which the press release of the new version seems to confirm, adding that “these free-flowing extrapolations take minimalist shapes and expand them into dizzying spirals of improvisatory abandon and heat-haze atmospherics. Redolent of the serene celestial shapes of Can‘s «Future Days» and the summer sunset climes of Cluster‘s «Sowiesoso» alike.” As a glimpse into what to expect of this reworked edition, listen to «Nova Express» in all its might below.
«Twenty One» is set for release on October 22 through Rocket Recordings on digital and vinyl formats, whose pre-orders can be found here.
