The debut of Vertebra Atlantis will soon arrive via I, Voidhanger. That being said, the band comes from G.G., the man responsible for Cosmic Putrefaction, Summit, Clearing Path, and Turris Eburnea. This time around, the Italian has been joined by R.R. (from Homselvareg)on drums and vocals and by Vrangr (from Spells of Misery) on bass in order to craft a blend of “dissonant black metal, dark atmospheres, and monolithic death metal,” so very much something right down our alley. Their debut album, «Lustral Purge In Cerulean Bliss», comes with artwork by Vama Marga and further described as a “powerful manifesto of multifaceted, vicious extreme metal and apocalyptic atmospheres that annihilates all will, leaving the listener prey to melancholy and a sense of painful atonement, yet eager to follow the next steps of this new, intriguing and cursed electric beast.” Indeed, listening to the first single «Carnal Denouement» has definitely left us eager for more of this monolithic black death.
