Lhaäd to release «Below»

Belgium one-man black metal project Lhaäd, part of The Nox Entity alongside Entartung, Rituals of the Dead Hand, and Wolven, will release its debut next month. As the press release explains, the band was named “after Hades, the Greek god of the dead and the underworld, Lhaäd is an anagram for hadal: the deepest region of the ocean, lying within the oceanic trenches.” The album is called «Below», a reference to “where light is absent: the perfect surroundings for hadopelagic black metal.” Stylistically, the band is said to come influenced by the likes of Darkspace, Mysticum, and Thorns, a trio of classics whose influence can surely be seen in the album’s first single, «Below II», which can be heard below.

«Below» is set for release on December 10 through Babylon Doom Cult, Extraconscious, and Fólkvangr on cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders can be found here, through the links presented below the tracklist. The album was written, recorded, and mixed by Lykormas at Crestfallen, with mastering handled by Maurice de Jong. The visual art was created by Sigrid Coymans and Lykormas.
