The Flenser to release Sutekh Hexen / Hissing split LP
This is bound to be a nasty one, with Sutekh Hexen, one of the most proficient mixers of noise and raw black metal, joining forces with Hissing, the cavernous death / black trio from Seattle. The Flenser has released a teaser of the split featuring an excerpt from each band’s contribution which you can see below.
This unholy union of Sutekh Hexen and Hissing will be released on vinyl and digital formats by The Flenser on October 6. Pre-orders are available at this location.
Usnea stream «Portals Into Futility» in its entirety

Conan announce new drummer
Liverpool based cave-man style doom mongers Conan have changed drummer yet again. After announcing the departure of Rich Lewis back in August, the band has now chosen their fourth full-time drummer. It turns out to be none other than Johnny King, of Altar Of Plagues, Malthusian, and Dread Sovereign fame. The band has further declared that writing of new material is already ongoing with the new formation. Recall that their last release came in 2016 in the form of «Revengeance», which you would be able to stream below if it hadn’t been released by Napalm Records. Instead, here’s their 2007 demo «Battle In The Swamp», recorded and released ten years ago when they were just a two-piece.
