KEN Mode announce «Loved»

Canadian noise rock trio KEN Mode will be releasing their third Season Of Mist record, entitled «Loved», later this summer. The recordings took place this year in January at the Private Ear Recording in Winnipeg, mostly by Andrew Schneider (Craig Boychuk recorded parts of two tracks), who also mixed and co-produced the record with the band. Mastering was done by Carl Saff. The first track of the record, «Doesn’t Feel Pain Like He Should» has been revealed in all its heavy glory through an official video directed by Christopher Mills, which you can watch below.

The artwork, displayed below and on the article’s cover, is a piece entitled «Happy Person Having a Pleasant Conversation in Public», by Randy Ortiz, who has further contributed with two other pieces to the record’s edition (seen here, in the artist’s instagram). As the guitarist vocalist Jesse Matthewson told Revolver, he “stared into the eyes of this piece every day for the past year and a half,” admitting that to “what degree the world will interpret parody, satire and bleeding-heart honesty is ultimately beyond our control,” and that the now revealed track is a “not-so-subtle opening for our thoughts on 2018.”
