While Devil Master works on their debut album, Relapse has made their entire discography available in physical format again. Moreover, Undergang‘s upcoming EP can now be heard and we look back at Agoraphobic Nosebleed‘s formation change.

Devil Master releases compilation

Formed two years ago, Philadelphia punk black metal act Devil Master had so far released a self-titled demo in 2016 (cassette edition through Grim Winds Records) and the «Inhabit the Corpse» EP (self-released cassette) in 2017, both of whom reissued in vinyl earlier this year through Erste Theke Tonträger. A couple of weeks ago, the band signed with Relapse Records and announced the coming release of «Manifestations», a compilation featuring remixed and remastered versions of the band’s entire catalogue up until that point. Today marks the release of the compilation, which you can hear below.

«Manifestation» was released on November 2 by Relapse Records and is available in digital, cd, and vinyl formats at this location.

It has been further announced that Devil Master debut full-length is being recorded in Philadelphia with renowned producer Arthur Rizk (of Volahn fame) and is set to be released early in 2019.

Undergang to release EP accompanying horror anthology

Death metal powerhouse Undergang have announced a collaboration with writer Benni Bødker regarding an anthology book of Danish horror stories with illustrations by the band’s vocalist and guitarist David Mikkelsen. Besides the illustrations, the book will be accompanied by «Den dobbelte Grav», a 7” two-song EP by Undergang. While the final song, «Power Buns», is a Bolt Thrower cover, the title track was recorded in 2016 during the sessions of last year’s «Misantropologi» and features lyrics by Benni Bødker himself. You can listen to both tracks below.

The EP can be obtained digitally here. Information regarding its physical edition alongside the book should be made public sometime this month, although judging by band’s bandcamp, November 20 is the release date.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed suffer a formation change

An unfortunate series of events has led to the departure of singer Kat Katz from Agoraphobic Nosebleed after ten years in the band. The reasons for the departure have been extensively documented by both the remaining band members and the singer – their statements on the matter, chronologically ordered, can be found here, here, here, here, and here. Instead of further commenting or passing judgement on what has happened, let us instead pay homage to the band’s impressive discography with the formation that has now dissolved.

First, there is «Agorapocalypse», the band’s highly acclaimed fourth and so far latest full-length album, which you can stream below.

The next record came two years later, when Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Californian powerviolence collective Despise You released the amazing «And On And On…»

Finally came what is arguably the record that will mostly be associated with her tenure on the band, the «Arc» EP released on 2016. At the time announced as the first in a series of four EP releases written in the preferred style of each member, this was Kat Katz’s version of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and an absolutely delight of a record for fans of both sludge and grindcore.

All three records mentioned above were released by Relapse Records and are still available at this location.
