Sometime last year, Cocaine Piss went to Chicago to, for the second time, record an album at the Electrical Audio with Steve Albini. The result is entitled «Passionate and Tragic» and comes described as “12 manic, gender-bending noise punk outbursts.” Want an example? See the video for «My Cake» below, the single from «Passionate and Tragic» that was released last December as a 12” vinyl by Hypertension Records and is still available here. The video was directed by Laetitia Bica, who, alongside Thierry Tönnes, took care of all the visuals related to the new record.
Intense, right? That’s not all though, as that late 2018 release also included «Pretty Pissed», the second track from «Passionate and Tragic», which you can hear below as you gaze into the album’s artwork, authored by Thierry Tönnes.
«Passionate and Tragic» will be released on April 5 by Hypertension Records on cd and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available here, some of which with some rather interesting bonuses.
