Call of the Void unveil single from «Buried in Light»

Colorado’s Call of the Void have announced the upcoming release of their third album «Buried in Light», the first full-length dose of grind and death infused hardcore to be served by quartet since 2015’s «Ageless». The record is said to deal with tales of “valuing death over life and the willingness to give it all up,” a concept that was further explained by drummer Gordon Koch to Decibel here, where he also mentioned that the vignettes that comprise the album come from “personal experiences, the study of modern apocalypse cults and people affected by them.” Below, listen to «Living Ruins», the third track from «Buried In Light».

«Buried in Light» is set for release on May 10 through Translation Loss on cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available here (cd), here (vinyl), and here (digital).

The album was recorded at the Boar’s Nest and at Flatline Audio with Andy Patterson and Dave Otero respectively. The latter also handled mixing and mastering duties, as well as sharing a production credit with the band. Moreover, the band invited a few illustrious guests to participate in «Buried in Light», namely, Blake Harrison from Pig Destroyer who provides noise throughout and vocals on album closer «So It Ends», where he is joined by fellow Pig Destroyer vocalist JR Hayes.
