There’s something rather appropriate to last two years to be found in the post punk practised by Greek trio Chain Cult. Equal parts the anthemic boost we find ourselves needing on a daily basis and the uncertainty, gloom, and doom that characterise these days. It’s no for nothing that the press releases of their music over the years, while ascertaining their contemporary nature, have also evoked the likes of Vex circa the legendary «Sanctuary», Killing Joke, and The Sound. Their next release is a two song EP entitled «We’re Not Alone», which Nico Destructure describes as showing “the band at its best. The very powerful rhythm section allows the guitarist to play the most beautiful and dark melodies and the singer to chant the catchy choruses that Chain Cult is known for.”. Below, you can watch the video for the EP’s title track.
«We’re Not Alone» is set for release on August 13 through La Vida Es Un Mus on digital and vinyl formats whose pre-orders are available here.
