One of this year’s most anticipated darkwave / post-punk albums is slowly being revealed unto the world – «Heart of Crime» by Fotocrime, who eschews the genre tags above to call it “electric Southern Romanticism.” After unveiling the gorgeous «Delicate Prey» through an official video (see our piece on it here), now it’s the turn of «So So Low», one of Patterson’s favourite songs on the album, one about “trying to not drown in grief and I wrote it after losing my cousin Matt last year,” adding in characteristically poetic fashion that this is “pop from pain.”
«Heart Of Crime» is set for release on August 27 through Profound Lore on cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available here (cassette, cd, and digital) and here (vinyl).
