Fans of drone doom, meet Blackfold, whose debut full-length «Solarus» is coming next month. Split into two long pieces, the first of which can be heard below, the album’s creator Isaac J. Dean explains that it is “essentially a diary of the last four years of my life. I tried to make the heaviest music I could to help deal with what I was going through mentally, emotionally and physically. It’s been an extremely cathartic experience which I think comes through in the music.” One can begin to gauge as much through the slow unfolding monolith that is «Solarus – Part I».
