Mysterious Greek black metal entity Μνήμα has announced the released of its first full-length album, «Disciples of Excremental Liturgies», after a fantastic series of EP, demos, and split releases that started in 2017 and by now totals fifteen outings (compilations notwithstanding) of lo-fi worship through noise and black metal. Or, as the upcoming album’s press release states, “every one the definition of auditory terror, each savage cut a million voices whispering in your ears and pulling you to eternal silence via their own cruel methodologies, channelling darkness and pestilence in its own quintessential manner.” However, the upcoming album is said to eschew the paths already travel, and “dares to return to the core sound of depressive and classic black metal and grip it with both hands, gnashing its teeth and tearing it apart.” Below, you can begin to confirm this shift in sound by way of the third and fourth tracks of the album, respectively titled «Disciples of Excremental Liturgies» and the monumental «Νεκροσάβανο».
«Disciples of Excremental Liturgies» is set for release on February 10 by Atrocity Altar, His Wounds, and Phantom Lure on cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders for the cd and digital formats can by now be found here and here, respectively.
