Brazilian experimental raw punk collective DEAFKIDS have announced the upcoming release of their third full-length, entitled «Metaprogramação», their first through Neurot, following the release of 2017’s «Configuração Do Lamento» EP through the renowned North American label. As explained in the press release, while their approach is rooted in punk, they “imprint a future-primitive psychic scenario into their music by weaving a fabric of electronic pulses, barrages of delay and noise, wailing guitars, and frenzied rhythms that ricochet aggressively across the speakers.” Below, you can find «Mente Bicameral», the fourth song from the record and only that is thus far available.

Instigated to provide some remarks regarding the record, the band offers a vision of the present that out-bleaks many a dystopian scenario, opening with: “Deceived by perceiving our so-called individuality as a form of freedom, we are programmed to live and continue living as a fragmented and binary model of nature. Experimental numbers in a worldwide political power-game where human lives and its complexities, connections, necessities and environments are lowered in terms manipulated by algorithms, mind control and brutal force upon our conditions, our rights and our true will,” a sentiment that seems to fit quite well with the approach already laid out in «Configuração Do Lamento». However, they do end the statement in a positive note by way of a call to arms, stating that “we must unite as one and resist against the violent symbols of oppression, including what’s imprinted on our own self, that must be daily sacrificed. «Metaprogramção» offers a vertiginous, sensory insight on these inner conflicts and aspects of the animal being. Do not allow yourself to be programmed.”

Set for release by Neurot on March 15, «Metraprogramção» will be available in cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available at this location.
