Big Business, arguably one of the most underrated duo in modern rock, have announced the release of their sixth full-length album «The Beast You Are». Like «Command Your Weather» before it, the upcoming album was composed by the band in their core duo formation, that is, by Coady Willis on drums and vocals and Jared Warren on bass and vocals. The album’s last track below, «Let Them Grind», has been made available for streaming and described by Warren as “the perfect song for any situation in which a soundtrack for suppressing blood-boiling, ear-ringing anger is needed.”
«The Beast You Are» is set for release on April 12 via Joyful Noise in cassette, cd, digital, and vinyl formats. Pre-orders are available at this location. The album was recorded by Phil Becker at San Francisco’s El Studio between November and December 2018, with the band subsequently joining Becker on mixing duties and Carl Saff handling the mastering. The artwork, seen above, was made by bassist/singer Jarred Warren, using “hacked up construction paper.”
Finally, note that Big Business have already embarked on the north american promotional tour for «Let Them Grind», comprising ten dates in February, eighteen in March, and eleven in April – see the picture below for details. If anyone ever wondered how they got so bloody tight live, circuits like these might help explain it.
