As we recently wrote here, Verwoed‘s first full-length album, «De Val», will be released later this month. Having previously unveiled its opener «De Val» and immediate successor «De Kwelling Van Het Bestaan», the band has now chosen to release its closer, «Verder Van Het Licht», which features guest vocals by Ryanne van Dorst (from Dool) and can be heard below. Talking to Invisible Oranges, Verwoed’s mastermind Erik B. stated that the song is “a hymn about the never-ending and exhausting search for truth in Life and Death; determinedly steering away from all that we hold close to our hearts.”
«De Val» is set for release on May 23 by Argento Records, Sentient Ruin Laboratories, and Tartarus Records, on vinyl through the first two and on cassette format through the latter. Pre-orders are available here, here (digital and vinyl), and here (cassette).
The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by JB van der Wal (Dool, Herder), features artwork by Joost Vervoort (Terzij de Horde) and layout by Antonio Strain (ex-Grime).
