South Korean hardcore punk quintet Slant are back with their third discographic entry, «1집», after the «Demo 2018» and the «Vain Attempt» EP. As explained in its press release, the new outing is “17 minutes of pure bristling rage. Corrosive hardcore music for the pit and the pendulum recalling the stomping catchy vibes of recent luminaries like Boston Strangler or Violent Reaction but channeling back to previous 80s hitters in the Youth Of Today/Minor Threat vein too.” The album’s opener, «Enemy», can be heard below.
«1집» is set for release on February 26 through Iron Lung Records on digital and vinyl formats. Pre-orders for the digital version are available here (the vinyls are currently sold out). The album was recorded and mixed by Tits Belair and mastered at Dead Air.
